Certificate of Good Standing

The Registrar of Companies issues this document, which includes the following information:

  • Company Name
  • Registration Number
  • Confirmation of the company's compliance with the payment of its government fees up to the present time

A Certificate of Good Standing may be requested by a bank when opening a corporate account. If the Certificate of Good Standing is apostilled, there is no need for further legalization by an embassy or consulate of the foreign country.

If your company has been in existence for more than one year and you intend to open a corporate bank account, it is advisable to obtain the Certificate of Good Standing, duly legalized with an Apostille.
